Can I send international/GCC SMS, and what are the rules?

kwtSMS reaches 1,000+ networks in 220+ countries, including Kuwait and the GCC. Every credit is 1 SMS to any network in any country, with no extra cost.

Turn on international coverage (it's off by default on new accounts):

  1. Log in and go to Coverage, then click Add.
  2. Choose the destination country and fill in the form completely and accurately to avoid rejection.
  3. We review requests quickly, usually the same day.

You can see what's active under Live Coverage in your account. If you get API error 26, the country you're sending to isn't activated yet, add its coverage with the steps above.

Rules for international SMS:

  1. The SenderID is our default SenderID, unless you register your own.
  2. Messages with links are blocked or filtered in most countries, including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
  3. Bulk/promotional messages aren't allowed. Only transactional messages, such as OTP and payment links.
  4. International traffic must stay under 50% of your account's total traffic, with a maximum of 100 messages per day.

Important: international coverage raises your exposure to bot abuse and fraud, which can drain your balance fast. You're responsible for all traffic sent through your API, and kwtSMS isn't liable for balance loss or failed messages caused by weak security or incorrect data. Read our SMS API best practices to build your integration safely.
