How do I register a private SenderID, and how much does it cost?

Only companies can register a SenderID, and a commercial license is required. The name can be your business, service, product, or app.

How to register:

  1. Sign up, then log in to your account.
  2. Choose Buy/Order SenderID from the menu.
  3. Order and pay online with KNET.

Cost: a one-time fee of 10 or 15 KD depending on the type. There are no recurring charges, once registered, you use it forever on Kuwait networks.

Requirements: in Kuwait a SenderID must be pre-registered before use. After ordering, you'll get forms from kwtSMS to print, sign, and stamp. Submit them with your company license and civil ID for telecom approval.

How long it takes:

  • Kuwait: about 5 working days, sometimes more.
  • Other countries: 1 to 2 months, sometimes longer.

This is a manual process handled by the telecom companies, so we can't speed it up, and approval isn't guaranteed. Individual names are allowed only during elections.
